Short Message Service, better known as SMS, is a telephone service that allows sending short messages to a telephone number. Although it was originally designed for mobile phones, it has extended to other equipment, including computers. Even some webpages and messengers will let you send SMS.
SMS Wizard will help you send text messages from your computer using SNPP, a GMS phone connected to your computer or a Nokia phone. I would not say that this software’s interface is not easy to use; however, its design makes it look a little messy. The use of dark colors and textures in the default skin negatively tampers with contrast making the captions difficult to read. So, perhaps you would like to test other available skins and disable transparency.
Sending a message through SMS Wizard is very similar to the way you do it with your phone. First, you need to provide a number and write the text. The difference is that you need to provide how you wish to send it, which means SNPP, GMS phone or Nokia phone. Using SNPP will require choosing a provider. Although the program already comes with some providers, you can add the ones in your area.
With SMS Wizard, you will be able to send SMS to several phones at a time, if you create groups of contacts. In this regard, the software provides integration with other software and the operating system itself to share their contact lists.
Configuring options may be a hard time for those who have little knowledge of communications technologies. Extensive technical terminology is used, but you should not worry about that, because you do not really need to set anything for the software to work. If you require tweaking some features, it will probably be necessary just once.
- It sends SMS not only via Internet but also from telephones
- The interface design tampers with legibility
